Kristin Woodward is a celebrated educator with twenty years of experience teaching students at various grade levels throughout elementary school. She is also the best friend of four dogs and seven cats, and recipient of the Red Cross Hero award for animal welfare. Over the past six years, she has been meticulously planning the details of Two by Two Animal Campus. By consulting and befriending animal experts, visiting the most successful animal shelters, and researching exhaustively, Kristin has conceived a very different and exciting idea. By combining her two passions, teaching and companion animals, Kristin brings a unique perspective and strength to the education of people in an academic setting. Her enthusiasm is contagious!

Two by Two Animal Campus has been enthusiastically welcomed into classrooms because she and her team have thoughtfully interwoven humane education with the requirements of the National Education Standards, including a multitude of curricular disciplines (i.e. math, reading, art, etc.) Kristin’s unique skills and innovative ideas will bring an integrated educational force that hasn’t previously existed in animal welfare.

As you browse our site, I hope you are as thrilled as I am. It holds the promise of a future of kindness and respect towards living creatures.

Our organization has not entered this project half-heartedly. We already possess 200 acres for the Campus, and are locked into agreements to teach humane education in classrooms during the 2006-2007 school year. We hope that by teaching compassion, responsibility, kindness, justice, mercy, and many other values in the classroom, we will be able to elevate the culture of strong character towards people and animals.

Just that you are here indicates that you understand the value of pets in a person’s life. We are delighted that you have visited our website, and hope you can visit our Campus as we build and grow. It is only through the efforts of regular people, like you and me, that real change is made.

So many people ask how they can help. You can volunteer or make a donation. By joining our mailing list, you will receive updates on our progress, and inside views of our accomplishments. You will be one of our Visionaries, the group of people who support our work from early on.
